Pictures from ‘The Masters’ Exhibition Preview by Templars

Templars, a leading commercial law firm in Lagos, in partnership with Mydrim Gallery, on Wednesday, 23 May 2018, gave us a foretaste of what to expect at ‘The Masters’ exhibition coming up on the 3rd and 4th of June 2018 at the Desiderata, Banana Island, Lagos. Showcased at this Preview, which held at the offices of Templars at the Octagon, 13A, A.J. Marinho Drive, Victoria Island, and was attended by artists and a selection of discerning guests, were uncommon and new artworks from the exhibiting masters, including an uncompleted work by Yusuf Grillo (the work looked perfect to me but the label attached to it indicated that the master himself, Grillo, says he’s not satisfied with it yet. What a perfectionist!) and one of the last works that Gani Odutokun completed before that final fateful journey to Lagos.

According to a Yoruba saying, the news [about a thing] can never measure up to seeing it. But better than just news, here are pictures from the Preview.
